I own a 2007 Toyota Camry with a manual transmission and when only had around 500 miles on the vehicle the clutch started sticking and the dealer tried to act as if I didn't know what I was talking about until they tested it and it happened to them. A new clutch was then put in and I didn't have any problems until now. I now have 31000 miles on the vehicle and today as I was leaving out of the parking space at work the clutch stuck and I had to put the car in neutral and apply the emergency brake and wait until the clutch popped up. I was then able to drive home without any problems but 1 st thing on Monday I will have it at the dealer. What I want to know is, have any similar problems been reported? if not then mine is the first and this should be checked into.

Purchased a new 2008 Toyota solara from coleman Toyota in bethesda, MD. On 1/19/08. From day 1, transmission is jerky, hesitates, has not power when needed. Car stalls when waiting to turn and floods. Took it back to the dealer 2x.

I have a 2007 4cyl Toyota Camry and on occasion it will hesitate when accelerating. Generally occurs only when moving at very slow rate of speed and accelerate to pull quickly into traffic. Have returned to dealer at least 3 times. They say it is 'normal' and can not get it to happen so cannot fix. They have applied TSB but did not seem to correct. Quit asking for repair but now see issues with sticking accelerator and wonder if this is another Toyota cover up!!.

I own a 2007 Camry and it has a terrible hesitation with the engine that stalls alot especially pulling on interstates with fast moving traffic. It also has the same issues with normal driving in town. This is a huge issue and I do not feel safe driving this vehicle that I am paying a good bit of money for. I feel I can't sell it knowing it has a problem and the trade in value is terrible. Toyota needs to recall all these cars and fix the issue or give the consumers there money back.

2011 Toyota Camry Manual Transmission

My 2006 Toyota Camry se is experiencing throttle & shift lag. I've tried merging into traffic only to have my vehicle not respond. The crazy revving from the vehicle not shifting correctly is also causing a substantial decrease in fuel economy (from 24 mpg to 18 mpg). Toyota has no fix at this time.

Contact states: manual transmission, going 50 mph with no power. Speed drops and there is no acceleration. Last a couple of seconds anywhere 10 to 30 seconds it picks back up. Noticed about a week ago. Normal drive happening anytime. Haven't noticed it before 50 mph. Speed drops but hasn't changed speed with accelerator with still applying pressure on accelerator. Noticed this happening for about a week.

My 2004 Camry, v6 has had a hesitation since I first purchased it. The hesitation happens after stopping a signs or when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic. Twice I have taken it to the dealer and was told it was something with the brain that sends information from throttle sensor to the transmission. The service tech stated that it was just the v6's and the 2004 cars that have this problem, until more people complain no repairs or recalls will be made.

Consumer states while the vehicle was parked the vehicle moved forward and was stopped when it ran into a tree. Nlm.

While driving, vehicle intermittently pulls back and shifts to a lower gear. And the rpm abruptly goes from 2100 rpm to 1900 rpm and back again. Dealer could not find a problem.

Consumer states while starting the engine, the vehicle rolled forward by itself, consumer applied the brake, but it did not work, consumer pulled the transmission selector to reverse and then the park position it still did not move foward untilthe engine was turned off, on the second occasion the vehicle kept rolling backwards until it hit a park car on the side of the road.

Failure of manual clutch, warranty coverage declined, with 40+years of driving experience with manul transmissions without a problem, trading in (3rd Toyota)1968 Toyota Camry, manual transmission with 120,000+miles experiencing no problems, after June/000 30,000 check-up finding no trnsmission problems, dealer declined applying waranty-conclusion of dealer, I am a louzy driver.
